It is a known fact that people will not read your article unless the title is compelling. It is a known fact that people will not read your article unless the title is compelling.
In the past I have skipped over many articles before because the title was boring and did not appeal to me.
However, never fear, because there is a winning formula for creating article titles that compel instead of repel your prospects and increase readerability. I have outlined 3 tips on article marketing that will increase your readerability.
Always do your research first. The Google Adwords Tool is very helpful for this. Go to your Adwords Tool and look for phrases, not single words. If you search a single word it will produce too many results. A good example is when I was searching for a title for this article. First, I typed in "article". This adword showed 7,480,000 monthly searches. I found out this is too broad of a search and needed to narrow it down. I then searched "article marketing tips". This only showed 1900 monthly searches. So this was a good phrase to use in my article title.
Second, use numbers in your title such as number of principles, number of facts, number of tips, number of steps. For this example, I used: 3 Tips to Increase Readerability, 3 tips to writing a good article title. or #1 reason articles do not get read.
Last, when writing the title consider using number figures. Many people are drawn to statistics and dollar amounts. For example, try something like this, "3 Tips to Increase Readerability and Help You Earn an Additional $289 Per Day". Or you could do something like this, "3 Tips for Writing Article Titles That Will Drive An Additional 50 People To Your Site Each Day". These are just simple ideas that will make your title more appealing to the reader.
The title of your article is one of the most important aspects of your article. Forget about anyone clicking on your article if your title is not good. If you aren't getting the readers to read your articles just try fixing up your titles and see if that will help drive more traffic to your article.
Article Marketing is useless if you can not get readers to read it!
