Sarah Palin Could Run For President As An Independent

Will she or won't she in 2012? This seems to be Sarah Palin's strategy when dealing with the media on her possible run for the White House in 2012. Palin has been effectively dodging questions lately about her intentions, however she has stated that if there isn't anyone else to do it then she will carry the torch to the presidency in 2012. What could this effectively mean?
After news got wind of Palin will skip in the first republican presidential debate many people have written her off as a candidate for the 2012 presidential election. However, there has been some recent speculation that Sarah might end up running as an independent if there isn't a legitimate candidate that appeals to the tea party. If a Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani perhaps were to win the republican nomination, Palin could step in and rally the Tea Party voters that might otherwise stay home.
Both Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich have been openly considered a run for the White House and thus were dismissed with their positions as Fox News commentators. Sarah Palin was not dismissed, and this could either indicate that she is not running or legitimately has not decided yet. Palin recently told Fox News Business that she is a couple months away from making any announcement, but that might be too late for a republican candidacy.
In a BBC interview, former governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said money would be a major component to whether or not she will run in 2012. She cited Obama is willing to spend over a billion dollars on his campaign and agreed it would be a tough fight with finances. Many have argued that Palin wouldn't be a pliable candidate in the general election against Obama. However, she is in a reasonable third place in the republican polls for likable candidates. Palin said she will continue to speak on the daily affecting America until she is ready to address the question of a possible candidacy.
Palin's past gaffes might thwart her chances of winning in the general election against Obama. Many might argue that Palin's stardom rose too quickly and that she wasn't accustomed to the limelight. The media hung on her every word and scrutinized it in a manner that she just wasn't used to, hence she has said and done some things that may be unfitting of a political candidate. One of her biggest faults was when she had written political notes in the palm of her hand. Palin fans hope that these blunders will be overlooked if she runs for president in 2012.
