No, its not necessarily your job. Its gravity! Gravity is always pulling and tugging on our bodies and creating a stress to each and every structure of the human body. It pulls on the joints, and muscles, and bones, even potentially creating arthritis as we age.
As we look at how gravity can create huge stress to our system it is vitally important to remove any and all disfunction in the spine. Disfunction can be a misalignment of the bones and joints or even poor movement in how those bones and joints move. A misalignment in the spine can create pain, weakness, and even leave you prone to falls!
If you are a baby boomer and are suffering from any joint or muscle problems you need to be seeing a Bellevue chiropractor. A Bellevue chiropractor can relieve the stress from improperly working joints and muscles of the body, to allow you to move at your very best!
A great way that I like to think about how gravity wears the body down is to compare it to my car. Just a month ago I had to go in to get my tires rotated. As they looked at my tires they let me know that one side of my tires was very worn in comparison to the other side and this was most likely due to a front end misalignment. They also said that a "realignment" would take the problem away and I would not go through as many tires. The same holds true for the human body. If our "frame" is misaligned then our "tires" will also wear. Lets do a test...take your shoes off and look at the bottom of your shoes. Is there any wear on one side or the other? This wear is most likely due to a misalignment.
If you find that you have any wear in the bottoms of your shoes please consult with a chiropractor today to see if you are a candidate for chiropractic care.
