However, the support system that you obtain from smoking a cigarette is something that you do not need.

Most people that are interested in quitting smoking are scared of the withdrawal symptoms that they will be forced to endure. Some of the most common symptoms include fatigue, nausea, lack of concentration, weight gain and increased irritability. The withdrawal symptoms of your addiction can be severe, however you can overcome them.

There are a lot of immediate changes that take place within your body when you quit smoking that many people do not even realize. For example, twenty minutes after smoking your last cigarette your typically escalated blood pressure and heart functions will return to normal. Also, the amount of carbon monoxide that you have been pumping into your body will leave it within 24 hours time.

People that have managed to stay on the straight and narrow and have not picked up a cigarette in one year will diminish their chances of coming down with lung cancer or any other serious diseases. Also, whenever you are sick for one reason or another, your sickness will be easier to diagnose.

Quitting smoking can be a difficult task to have to overcome. However, as long as you are committed to achieving your goal, you will be able to overcome all of the dilemmas that may come your way.
