Marketing on social media sites has become a huge part of many marketing campaigns. Sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Tumblr are all a part of the sea of social media. One of the most popular and newest sites that have risen is a social media site called Tumblr.
Well here it is, the newest highest growing social media site. It is a blogging platform that publishes content like text, images, video, quotes and links in a short form blog style. People who use the site have the ability to follow other users, like posts, and re-blog posts from other users. The site is known for its easily published content and being able to withstand millions of posts every day from thousands of users. Tumblr has become one of the highest blog posting sites even over Wordpress.
A majority of bloggers and big wig bloggers have noticed the increase in people switching blogging platforms and going to Tumblr. Mainly for the reason that it is so easy to use, so accessible, has minimal down time and it is a lot harder to see spam bots and bad advertisement on it. The great thing about using the site is that is can be used for an Internet marketing tool. It almost forces people to organically put in content. Sure you can click, re-post or like on anything but when it comes to "robots" using it as a site to spam, it is a lot less likely to find spam on there than per say Twitter.
Using Tumblr for personal use or Internet marketing has made it such a great site to utilize to communicate and share things with others. A total of 20.9 million user blogs are up on this platform up from 7 million in January. That is a huge amount of blogs created. The site co-exists very well with other social media platforms like Twitter. You can post things on your blog and have them post directly to your Twitter. Many other social media sites have features like this but they do not get used as frequently as they do on this site. This is why many SEO and SEM users are switching to sites like Tumblr to promote their clients.
With the way that the world is changing it is important to keep up with it. Social media has become such a large part in using the internet that it is even accessible off our phones. If you have some sort of smart phone that has internet connection capability or a new pad/larger scaled hand held device, accessing the internet is convenient anywhere you go. Being able to log on to your device and post a photo, marketing ad, or check your email has become renowned worldwide. The likelihood of every other person in a room having a device ready to access the internet has changed a lot from 10 years ago. Tumblr has a great application for many smart phones and devices so you can blog from a train, a plane, a car or anywhere you are.
