Two components of this course make up the bulk of class time. The first part that is taught to students is the skill and activity section. In this part, students are expected to be hands on with different scenarios and issues that may come up. Students are expected to participate in everything and will need to be able to function properly in the high demands that some of the skill drills entail.

There is also a written part of the class. This part involves the teacher giving lots of verbal instruction and written information. Students are expected to take notes and follow what the instructor is saying. They will focus on many areas of CNA training and ensure that all details are covered.

Finishing the class and the required hours, will prepare someone for the testing that they have to do at the end of the course. This testing is an all day event that starts with the skill part and ends with the written exam.
