There are several different ways to make money blogging. Even if you have just set up your first blog, there are things you can do to start earning money. Although some ad networks require a minimum traffic amount before they will let you join, not all of them do. Setting up your blog's monetization early allows you to start profiting from it as quickly as possible.

The easiest way to monetize a blog is to sign up with an ad network such as Google Adsense and place their ads on your site. Many of these ad networks can read the content you have on the site and match the ads to your content. This increases the likelihood that a user will click on an ad since the ads are targeted to something they are interested in.

Selling ads on your website is another way to make it profitable. When your site is fairly young with not much traffic you won't be able to charge much for ads. However, you will be able to increase the price as you become more well-known and get more traffic to your site.

Blogs are a good platform for selling affiliate products, but the products you sell need to be related to the content of the blog. You can put ads for affiliate products on the sidebar or even write posts that mention the products and link to them either within the article or at the end.

Another way to get money from a blog is through contextual ads or links. There are ad networks that offer this type of ad or you can make your own by using your affiliate URLs to link to products on Amazon.com or eBay within the text of your posts. Almost every post you write will have some keywords that can be used to link to appropriate products on these websites.

A lot of sites offer their own special report or e-book. If you have some special knowledge that would be valuable to your readers, a product like this might sell well on your site. Once people have been reading your blog for awhile, they come to know and like you and are more likely to buy your product. There are free programs available online that you can use to create a pdf file for your e-Book and you can use a Paypal buy button on your website to process payments.

Once you have decided which method or methods you want to use to make money, it should take very little time to set it up. After you have put your monetization method into place, go back to writing your blog as usual and give it at least a few weeks to see if it seems to be working. Experiment with different ads and products to see which ones sell best on your blog and stick with the ones that work the best.

Zero Cost. Zero Obligation.
