Many websites all across the Internet claim to offer ways to make money online.  While many people do legitimately make money at home, many of these so-called opportunities are scams. How do you know the difference? Here are some tips to avoid online scams.

First and foremost, use some common sense. Remember the saying that if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is? Well, those are some words which you should always keep in mind when analyzing a new make online money opportunity. If you do not remind yourself of this saying, it will be easy to talk yourself into thinking that this is the one great online opportunity, and that you just happened to be one of the lucky first people to come across it.

Rather, try and look at each and every offer objectively. Many scams will attempt to convince you that you will become wealthy with little effort, and you might even see on the website that this is some "secret" for making money that is just now being revealed. Much later, once they know that your interest is peaked, they reveal the cost for learning the secret. Prior to buying into this kind of information, take a moment to wonder why it is being sold in the first place. Ask yourself why this person is trying so hard to convince you when according to their money system, they should have been rich months ago, and should have no interest in you.

Second, do not get involved in any make online money scheme which has no product to sell. These are programs which pay you to recruit other members who will put money into the scheme, but do not really have anything to offer. Typically, such entities are regarded as pyramid schemes. The only people who make money in a pyramid scheme, are those who start the pyramid scheme. Furthermore, they are illegal in most countries around the world, including the United States and Canada. (*Note that pyramid schemes should be distinguished from Multi-Level or Direct Marketing schemes which are similarly structured, but have a product to sell. So long as the focus is on the product, and not recruiting members, such schemes are typically legal.)

Third, do not pay to stuff envelopes, make products, or transcribe medical records. These scams do not help any honest person to make online money.

Forth, getting paid to do surveys can be a viable option. However, you must be clear on what your compensation will be up front. What I have found is that while some companies pay you, the majority do not. Rather, they offer a chance to win something, which is absolutely useless to you if you are spending your valuable time to complete their surveys. You would be better off wasting your time watching, "Saved By The Bell" reruns.

Last and pretty much least, anything which utilizes the word "Blaster", is a blatant scam. Of course, if you enjoy your inbox filling up with useless spam, it is for you. Otherwise, there is no way that you will make online money with such annoying junk.

Just keep this in mind. If you want to avoid make money online scams, you need to avoid anything which offers easy wealth. It also means avoiding paying to work for somebody. You should never have to pay money before you can make money. If you pay no money, then not only have you minimized the risk, but you have also given yourself the best opportunity to turn the quickest profit possible.  Do not expect anything online that makes no sense in the real world. If you do, you will be scammed.

Zero Cost. Zero Obligation.
