Make Money Online By Living In The Now

Both Canadian and U.S. Thanksgiving days have past. This means that Christmas and New Year's Eve are fast approaching. This is the time of year at which we start to think about our New Year's Resolutions. Into the new year, we will find that some resolutions will be kept, while others will be neglected. Perhaps your New Year's resolution will focus on finding new ways to make money online. Irrespective of any New Year's resolution, we all have to opportunity to learn and grow every day, no matter what we did not do yesterday, or neglected to do last week. 1. Make Use of NOW

Making use of this moment in time because it is unique, and you will never get it back.  In fact, the "NOW", is a principle which stress management experts, psycho-therapists, meditators, and many authors have been talking and writing about for years.

The only moment, the only life we have is in the NOW. We have already lived out the past, and are not guaranteed the future. Thus, if we live our lives thinking about past events or future possibilities, we are literally not living our lives. To make money online, you have to concentrate on how you can affect the now to give yourself a greater probability of achieving your goals in the future.

 

2. Developing A Flow

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi wrote an amazing book entitled, "Finding Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience" which addresses the issue of the importance of remaining in the moment, of the inestimable value we can find in those activities which cause us to "go into flow", or in other words, lose our sense of time.

Developing a flow is essential for the entrepreneur seeking to make online money. You must engage in a business which you are passionate about. Your online business must have you fully engaged. Whatever it is that you are passionate about, cultivate it into an online business, make it expand in your life, and use it to enrich yourself. These activities are priceless ways of being and remaining in the now.

 

 

 

3. Nurture the Now at All Times

You must consciously and unconsciously remind yourself to stay in the now. The more time you spend in the now, the more you actually live your life. As stated above, the past is history and is a part of your life which cannot be relived. Even the time which you spent one hour ago is no longer here. By the same token, tomorrow is not yet here. Now is what we have. Now is the time of our life. Now is the time for living. What you do in the now is what you control. Therefore, right now you control your ability to make online money.

You should start allowing yourself to live in the now by gently bringing yourself to this moment more and more often on a daily basis. If you are at work, with your significant other or family, or simply running errands, become aware of what you are doing. You need to actually participate consciously in your daily activities. Do not just get through them in order to be able to do something else later on. Doing that means that you have lost this moment forever in exchange for something which may never materialize.

 

4. Stay in the Now

 

By staying in the now, you will notice that you have more time. You will notice that you feel less stressed. You will notice all that is potentially enjoyable, positive, or could be a latent learning experience in the now moment. Even if you are going through a difficult situation, remain aware, and in the now. This will enable you to better understand what is happening, and will enable you to get to know yourself more intimately by observing your feelings, thoughts, and possible reactions.

 

Live here rather than there (ie. past and future). The more you practice living in the NOW, the more it will become a habit. The more it becomes a habit, the more it becomes a part of your being, allowing you to truly live your life. If you are setting out to make money online, focus on enjoying and performing the best you can at what you can control NOW. This will shape for you a positive future.
